In the plenary session of the Basque Government that took place the last 14th of April, an Institutional Declaration supported by all the groups of the session was read, where they rejected the rupture of the ceasefire in Nagorno Karabaj. Given the rupture of the ceasefire in Nagorno Karabaj
Nagorno Karabaj is a territory with a population of 95% Armenian ethnicity. Due to the ups and downs of its history and its geographical location, Nagorno Karabaj ended up being part of Azerbaijan, generating a conflict between Nagorno and the country that has been persistent through the 20th century.

Shows its deep concern about the breach of the ceasefire that had been in force since 1994 in Nagorno Karabaj, expressing its condolences to the victims of the attack.
Positively support the resumption of the truce announced on the 5th of April from both sides, and hope it will be respected.
Requests to unblock the international mechanism for detection of violations of ceasefires, constantly proposed by the former presidents of the Minsk Group since 2012.
Refuses the use of violence for any territorial disputes, that ought to be resolved through dialogue, respecting the will of the majority of the affected population. This should be expressed by democratic means and without any kind of co-action.
Asks to both sides to make the necessary practical changes in order to stop military actions and return troops to the positions before the 1st of April.
Strongly supports the necessity to retake the negotiation process led by the OSCE Minsk Group to include Nagorno Karabak in this select group, already expressed in this Parliament.
