WhatsApp has a new service called “WhatsApp Channels,” which are a way for the followers of a website such as ours to have a new way to stay informed with a tool as commonly used as this messaging service that has, for so many of us, become a necessary part of daily life.
WhatsApp channels are located in the Updates section. Tap on that tab, and first you’ll see others’ status updates, and then channels, with controls for publishing status updates, seeing suggested channels, and a search function for finding new ones. This is, therefore, a great way to stay updated that is neither “aggressive” nor “invasive,” since it’s separate from the main page of personal chats.
When you follow one of these channels, you’ll be able to see all the chats sent via it. As a reader, you’ll only be able to share messages or react to them. The user can also see the total number of followers a channel has, but not who they are; they can also see the total number of reactions to a messsage.
We’ve created two channels:

In any case, we’ve left the QR codes and links to the desktop version of our website, and a link with the name “WhatsApp Channel” in the lower part of the mobile version sites.
We hope this new service will be useful and of interest to our readers. If we make any “rookie mistakes” at the beginning, we thank you in advance for your patience; it’s as new for us as it is for our readers. This way, we can learn together!
We’ll leave you with the info from the WhatsApp website about what this new service is and how it works.

Introducing WhatsApp Channels. A Private Way to Follow What Matters
Today we’re excited to introduce Channels: a simple, reliable, and private way to receive important updates from people and organizations, right within WhatsApp. We’re building Channels in a new tab called Updates – where you’ll find Status and channels you choose to follow – separate from your chats with family, friends, and communities.
