Idaho Public Television offers a magnificent documentary on their website: West of Basque. In it, they cover the history of the Basques over generations, from their first days as sheepherders to their prominent position today as the descendants of Basque immigrants in Idaho.

A while back, in 2018 (has it been that long?), we wrote an article covering another amazing documentary, Basques in the West (produced by Amaya Oxarango-Ingram and Brent Barras) which also tells the story of the Basques in the western United States.

The documentary West of Basque (IMDB file) that we’re sharing today is directed by Alan Austin and written by Jim Peck.

This article joins a long list of others that we’ve brought you about Basques in the US.

Unfortunately, automatically translated subtitles are not available.
