This project was born of a clear conviction: the Basque nation exists in the world. It exists in its economic activity, in its cultural presence, in its organized diaspora, in its professionals and institutitions, and in the way it is mentioned and represented in international media.
Understanding this foreign dimension is not just a symbolic exercise. It is a tool for collective awareness and nation building.
Over the years, we’ve developed an architecture of projects that all have the same goal: to build a structured archive and our own way of seeing how the world talks about the Basques.
Our projects
About Basque Country
Editorial platform dedicated to compiling and analyzing international news about the Basques.
We find, classify, and contextualize news items published outside Spain and France to offer a structured overview of our global presence.

Daily Dossier
A daily organization and archiving system that collects international news items and classifies them thematically. It is not a mere collection of headlines: it is a structured snapshot of the day’s international news regarding the Basques.

Paco Igartua Project
A joint initiative alongside the Limako Arantzazu Euzko Etxea to remember the life and writings of Francisco “Paco” Igartua, a leading figure in Basque-Peruvian journalism and a symbol of the diaspora’s commitment to democracy.
The project articulates the weekly distribution of news to Basque Centers around the world, and promotes a multimedia line dedicated to the living memory of the Basques abroad.[Enlace]
Upcoming lines of development
We’re working on new initiatives that will expand the scope of the project into the field of history, spreading news of our projects and the relationship between the Basque homeland and the Basques abroad.
The goal of all of this is to consolidate an independent cultural infrastructure that allows us to observie, understand, and project the international dimension of the Basque nation.
