The Scottish daily The National has just published an article by Greg Russell going over the activity the Etxepare Basque Institute has carried out this year in that country.

Over the past year, under the “umbrella” of the cultural program #ScotlandGoesBasque, several cultural interaction events have been held between the two nations, as told by Irene Larraza, the center’s director.

These cultural relations have also been accompanied by economic ones, and even “paradiplomatic” ones, inspired by soccer fans.

The Instituto Vasco Etxepare, created by the Basque Government, is the ambassador of our language and culture abroad, and promotes the international spread of the Basque langauge and the work of Basque creators of all disciplines, from literature to performing arts, as well as cinema, sculpture, paintings, and music.
