Como anunciamos en entradas anteriores, la 31ĀŖ Conferencia de la AsociaciĆ³n Europea de las Migraciones (AEMI) se va a celebrar en Donostia. Esta ediciĆ³n, organizada por la DirecciĆ³n para la Comunidad Vasca en el Exterior del Gobierno Vasco, va a contar con la asistencias de personas de 17 paĆses, y va a poder ser seguida a travĆ©s de internet.
La Conferencia, que se celebrarĆ” entre el 30 de septiembre y el 1 de octubre en el Palacio Miramar de Donostia/San SebastiĆ”n, lleva tĆtulo “Relaciones entre las diĆ”sporas y sus paĆses de acogida: Nuevas migraciones, movimientos de retorno y contexto histĆ³ricoā.
El acto inaugural serĆ” maƱana a las 9 de la maƱana y estarĆ” a cargo de la secretaria general de AcciĆ³n Exterior del Gobierno Vasco, Marian Elorza, y la presidenta de AEMI, Cathrine Kyo Hermansen.
El orador principal de esta Conferencia serĆ” irlandĆ©s Kingsley Aikins, licenciado en EconĆ³micas y PolĆticas por el Trinity College de DublĆn, que la iniciarĆ” con la disertaciĆ³n āConnecting diasporasā (Conectando las diĆ”sporas). Aikins ha vivido y trabajado en seis paĆses a lo largo de su carrera en el Ć”mbito del comercio y la inversiĆ³n, la filantropĆa, la educaciĆ³n, la diĆ”spora y el turismo, y ha trabajado para importantes organizaciones, gobiernos y paĆses.
Los analistas que participarĆ”n en esta Conferencia internacional vienen de Alemania, AndalucĆa, Argentina, BretaƱa francesa, Dinamarca, EE.UU., Eslovenia, Euskal Herria, Flandes, Galicia, Irlanda, Luxemburgo, Polonia, Reino Unido y Valencia.
