Esta actividad cultural tiene una especial importancia ya que se trata del primer curso que esta universidad incluye sobre Cultura vasca y puede significar el primer paso para que esta universidad se una al selecto grupo de universidades que ofrecen programas de estudios vascos. Lo cual, sin duda, sería una gran noticia.
El curso, que comienza en el trimestre de invierno a partir de la próxima semana, lo va a impartir Unai Nafarrate, un gipuzkoano licenciado en Lingüística y Literatura vasca, que ha impartido cursos similares en Euskadi y que, también, dio uno similar el año pasado en la UC Santa Barbara.

CSUB course keeps Basque culture alive
As Cal State Bakersfield professor Steven Gamboa said: There’s more to Basque than pickled tongue. A new CSUB course will give students an opportunity to learn about it all — the language, history, art, music and culture of Basque society.
